Cognitive Neurology Support Services plays a key role in supporting St George’s Young Onset Dementia Support Group. Listening to people’s voices helps us to deliver practical, useful and insightful sessions for people living with young dementia and their families. Enabling them to receive important information, meet others for peer support and to empower them to live rich and fulfilled lives. We attend regular meetings with Cognitive Neurology Consultants and Research Teams to ensure our service is accessible for people as soon as they are diagnosed with young onset dementia.

Cognitive Neurology Support Services works in partnership with St George’s Hospital and UCL Dementia Research Centre to deliver support within the groups and provide a contact on a local and national level. This ensures each person that attends the groups has a named point of contact within the meetings and in between times as well. Cognitive Neurology Support Services is enabling the hospitals to extend their reach with support and develop further services to benefit younger people with dementia and other rare dementias.
