In January 2016 Alzheimer’s Society are holding a course in south west London for family members supporting someone with young onset dementia.

The Carers Information and Support Programme (CrISP) is a series of four workshops aimed to provide family members with information and support, covering topics such as:

  • What is dementia?
  • Support and care for a person with dementia
  • Legal and money matters
  • Planning for the future

Please note, the content and materials used will be the standard course provided by Alzheimer’s Society and so people who have already attended CrISP do not need to repeat it.

However, by aiming these sessions primarily at family members supporting someone aged under 65, we can tailor the discussions and activities towards issues more commonly faced by families affected by young onset dementia.

The sessions will be taking place on Thursday afternoons from 2:00pm until 4:30pm, on:

  • Thursday 7 January
  • Thursday 14 January
  • Thursday 21 January
  • Thursday 28 January
