Dementia Pathfinders is working in collaboration with the neurology service at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to deliver a free networking event for those affected by early onset dementia.

This free event will include a presentation about the new publication ‘Approaching an Unthinkable Future’ documenting the experiences and feelings of people living with young onset dementia.

Clinicians, social care providers, community organisations, people living with dementia and family carers will have the opportunity to share experiences and learn about the realities of living with young onset dementia.

Attendees will hear from Dr Jeremy Isaacs, Consultant Neurologist at St George’s Hospital and Julia Burton-Jones, editor of ‘Approaching an Unthinkable Future’, who will facilitate some short contributions by younger people with dementia and family carers who took part in the project.

Aisling Fegan, Dementia Support Manager and Registered Art Therapist and Nemone Jakeman, Neurological Conditions Service Manager from SweetTree Home Care Services will speak about providing specialist dementia care and support and the services they offer.

The networking event will take place on Wednesday 2 December from 2-5pm at St Margaret’s Church, Putney Park Lane.
